ROUTERS AND BRIDGES

Routers and bridges provide a connection between one network and another.

They act as an entry and exit point to external networks and in conjunction with a firewall, can act as a barrier against unwanted network activity.

Both are available in cabled or wireless form (depending upon their use) and can be either ISDN (for Internet connections) or Ethernet (local network) based solutions.
